Creamy Tortellini Soup

One of our Birth Boot Camp doulas shared a great vegetable filled soup perfect for winter. Candiauce Klein can be found in Abilene ,TX  Candiauce commented that this soups takes 30 minutes or less and is packed full of veggies. Thanks for our next soup supper Candiauce!


1/2 onion, minced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 stick of butter

1 tsp pink salt

1 tsp pepper

2 c shredded carrots

2 c shredded zucchini

1-2 c shredded chicken

1/2 c flour

4 c chicken bone broth

4 c heavy cream

1 tsp dill weed

1 tsp red pepper flakes

1 tsp garlic salt

12 oz Tortellini

6 oz shaved Parmesan

1-2 c chopped kale or spinach


Sauté the onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and butter until onions are clear. Add carrots and zucchini. Sauté for a couple minutes. Add chicken and flour. Stir and let sit for 3 minutes. Add in bone broth, cream, and seasoning. Cook on medium for about 7 minutes. Add tortellini and cook for 7 minutes. Stir in parmesan and kale. Simmer for 15 minutes. Voila!
