It’s January and we all love a good bowl of soup during the cold, winter months. This is a favorite of everyone that tries it!

 

Ingredients

4 large potatoes

2/3 c butter

2/3 c flour

6 c milk

3/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1 1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese

12 slices bacon

4 green onions

8 oz cream cheese

Directions

  1. Bake the potatoes and let cool. Scoop out the center and set aside.
  2. Melt the butter and add the flour until smooth.
  3. Add milk, stirring constantly until thick, about 20 minutes.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients and heat on low until hot.

Additional toppings if desired- cheese, green onions, bacon, sour cream, etc.
