Sara PixtonUtah County, South Salt Lake County, UtahAbout Me
Hi, I'm Sara Pixton, and I'm here to support your birth journey. Childbirth is a vulnerable and sacred time, and I will hold your space and support the incredible work you're doing as you labor to birth your baby.
I'm a twin mom, natural VBACer, and birth lover. I became a doula after the transformative and empowering birth of my son. I'm also an Applied Linguistics master's student at UMass Boston (online). I believe that there is a synergistic energy when my two passions—birth and language—come together, and I'm excited to share it with you!
Outside of doula-ing, I love spending time with my three awesome kids and my amazing husband! I enjoy reading, singing, running, yoga, and hiking—?preferably to the summit!? Doula Services Offered
With the complete package, you get 1-2 birth planning visits for practicing comfort measures and discussing your birth preferences. From the moment of booking, I'm available for text/phone/email support. I'll also be on-call for you 24/7 for by-your-side support during all of active labor and the early postpartum period. I'll check in at a postpartum visit a few days after baby's birth as well. Also includes access to my lending library.
Birth Planning Visit-
This mini package offers a two-hour visit to help prepare you for labor and birth. We'll discuss your birth preferences, and we'll practice several comfort measures for use during labor, including labor positions, rebozo use, relaxation techniques, and more.
Birth Words Workshop-
Words are powerful! During this one-hour class, we'll review the characteristics of language that positively impacts the birth space. You and your support person will practice using language that sets a positive tone, sways a negative one, and encourages the laboring mother to produce and receive positive language.
