Cheryl Amelang, BBCI, Certification Coordinator

My name is Cheryl Amelang, and I am the Certification Coordinator at Birth Boot Camp! My job is to help upcoming childbirth educators, birth doulas, and postpartum doulas work through the training and certification process. I, with your trainer, will walk alongside you from the moment you sign up, to completing your certification, and throughout your Birth Boot Camp career. Giving birth is life changing and being a part of a birth story is magical. I love watching our amazing women go out into the world and make a positive impact in the lives of so many families.

I have been a childbirth educator with Birth Boot Camp since February 2014 and joined the Headquarters team in January 2020.  I enjoy working on many behind-the-scenes projects that make our company unique. One of my favorite things about Birth Boot Camp is that we work hard to keep our materials up-to-date, evidence based, and the best on the market. When I’m not filling out a spreadsheet, you can find me homeschooling my children, teaching childbirth classes, sipping on a Sonic Dr Pepper, and avoiding making dinner at all costs.

Robmikia Bailey-Holman, BBCI, BBCD, Administrator

Hi, my name is Robmikia Holman, certified doula, childbirth educator, massage therapist, and Administrator with Birth Boot Camp. For some birth workers it was their own birth experience that lit the fire and passion prompting them to become a doula, a midwife and/or childbirth educator. For me…it was the birth of my first grandchild. Even though I had given birth to four beautiful children of my own (three vaginal births, a cesarean, and a natural birth via VBAC), it was my daughter’s pregnancy and delivery that moved me to be a part of something different.

My daughter was diagnosed with preeclampsia at 34 weeks and was rushed in for an emergency cesarean. We were both fearful. For me I was devastated that I couldn’t answer the concerning questions my daughter had, nor did I know how to support her like she needed to be supported. When the storm cleared, we had a beautiful granddaughter and I hit the ground running! Reading, researching and receiving my certification with Birth Boot Camp. Doing all I could do to never find myself in that dark place again of lack of knowledge. This experience projected me into my desire to become a doula.

As a childbirth educator and certified doula, I feel honored to be able to share my knowledge with women and their families. I love the opportunity of educating, equipping, and empowering women for the birth they desire. As well as physical support during labor, my role is also to encourage a woman to advocate for her birth intentions. The support and wisdom that a doula offers to a laboring mom is essential.

My best friend and husband of 22 + years and I live in Texas surrounded by our children and grandchildren. When I’m not at a birth or teaching a class, you can find me baking, playing sand volleyball, or cruising the seas!

Hanan Webster, BBCI, BBCD, Head of Marketing and Social Media

Hello, I’m Hanan Webster! A wife to an amazing dude, mother of four (ages 15, 12, 10, and 8), two-time surrogate, and mother to four fur babies. Originally from the PNW, we have now been in the beehive state (Utah) since 2015. I fell in love with the idea of being a surrogate and doula around the same time. What can I say, I love birth! I have now been a Birth Boot Camp Certified Birth Doula and Childbirth Educator for over five years. I truly have a passion for serving families in our community with information and resources to help families make informed decisions and helping families to prepare for the best birth experience possible, no matter their outcome. My goal as a doula is to work more with my clients in pregnancy to better prepare their bodies for birth, as well as becoming a certified birth photographer. I absolutely love being a part of the BBC headquarters team, as the Head of Marketing and Social Media, and cannot say enough about how amazing our classes and trainings are, and just what a fantastic community we have here at Birth Boot Camp! Come join us!

andrea brannock adore birth servicesAndrea Brannock, BBCI, BBCD, LMT, Birth Boot Camp Trainer

Hey! My name is Andrea Brannock, certified Birth Boot Camp Instructor and Doula, certified Birth Boot Camp Instructor and Doula Trainer, licensed massage therapist and mom. I have always had a passion for all things pregnancy. I have five children and each of their births was different. It was during my third pregnancy that I learned about midwifery and found Birth Boot Camp. Her birth was the most amazing experience, and I knew that I had found my passion and calling in life. I wanted to help other families experience the kind of joy I felt during her pregnancy and birth. I trained in 2013 as a childbirth educator and continued to grow my practice from there. It is an honor and a privilege to serve each of the clients that invite me to their sacred space. As much as I love helping expectant families, I love training new birth workers just as much. Helping others to find their passion and joy. I am now the owner of Adore Birth Services where I serve expectant parents in the greater Fort Worth area and train new birth professionals across the country. I want all families to have an amazing birth. Doesn’t matter the location or how. I want you to feel empowered and educated. That you’ve been heard. All families deserve a positive experience! When I’m not teaching childbirth classes, at a birth, training new birth workers or in a massage you’ll find me walking Target or hanging out with my kids.

Donna Ryan, Founder

After an 18-year career in childbirth education, I sold Birth Boot Camp on my 50th birthday in January 2021. It has been an honor to work with thousands of couples over the years. I am so proud of the Birth Boot Camp curriculum and the hundreds of childbirth educators I’ve had the privilege of training since our launch in 2012.  Advocacy has also been a passion of mine over the years. I co-founded the Tarrant County Birth Network, the Black Hills Birth Network, and served on the BirthNetwork National Board. Encouraged by my dear friend, Alisa, I was the first person to blog about birth through Banned From Baby Showers. While I am happy to move on to the next phase of life, Birth Boot Camp will always be my baby! She is in good hands, and I am excited to watch her grow.
