I am a wife to a wonderfully supportive husband, homeschooling mom to 8 children, DONA trained doula, certified breastfeeding specialist and a certified childbirth educator with Birth Boot Camp. All of my children were birthed in a hospital where I have had 1 medicated, 1 medicated/induced, 2 c-sec, and 4 all natural births. After seeing all the constant changes that have taken place over the last 25 years, since my first pregnancy, I realized the need for couples to know their options and to be informed so that they can make the right decisions for them. My real passion for educating came after the pregnancy and first c-section in 2010 with my 7th child where there was a lot of inconsistencies among the providers and lack of informed consent. This sent me into researching maternity care in the united states and beginning my journey of advocating for changes. When you take a Birth Boot Camp class with me, you can be assured it will be in a relaxed setting feeling very supported in your decisions, without judgement…Resulting in couples feeling confident that when they complete their class they will be prepared for their upcoming blessed event!
