Birth classes in Carmel and Salinas, California
Name: Cori Gentry Email: firstname.lastname@example.org Website: www.corigentry.com Through family birth stories, I grew up believing that natural birth was normal. After studying Early Childhood Education at Cal State Monterey Bay I became a childcare provider and was surprised by how common cesareans and epidurals were among my clients. I married the punk rocker of my dreams in 2007 and on Valentines Day 2009 we discovered we were pregnant. When I could not find a local comprehensive natural childbirth class, I knew I would someday teach one. I made that dream a reality with Birth Boot Camp in 2012. My 4 births have been very different: I've birthed after 42 weeks, at 3 different local hospitals and at home, with doctors and midwives, medicated and natural. Advocating for options and safety in childbirth is something I live daily. I serve on the Board of Directors for the Birth Network of Monterey County, I am a Co-Leader of the International Cesarean Awareness Networks (ICAN) of Monterey County, and am Co-Coordinator for ImprovingBirth.org Monterey County. I love sharing my passion and knowledge with parents who want to have an amazing birth! I teach childbirth classes in Carmel and Salinas, California.
Birth Classes in Petaluma, California
Name: Julia Myers
I grew up in a family of seven children and have always been surrounded by mothers and babies. This upbringing instilled in me a love of everything connected to motherhood. After getting married and considering a family of my own, I dove into research about all things pregnancy and birth. While pregnant with my first child, my husband and I took a birth class and had a beautiful natural birth that sparked an even deeper passion into the natural birth world. I find an overwhelming amount of joy in educating parents about healthy pregnancies, natural birth, and intuitive parenting. I am currently in the process of becoming a certified doula with a long term goal of becoming a home birth midwife. I teach childbirth classes in Petaluma, California.
Birth Classes in San Diego, CaliforniaName: Debbe Cannone Email: email@example.com Website: www.DoulaDebbeBirthingBasics.com I am a dedicated DONA and toLabor trained birth doula who is also the mother of three boys. I am a certified lactation educator and childbirth educator as well. I have personally experienced both a medicated birth with an epidural and forceps delivery as well as two beautiful unmedicated births. In my role as a birth doula I have attended over 6o births and witnessed many different types of birth. These birth experiences sparked a passion in me for supporting mothers and their partners through this blessed and transformative period in their lives. Providing parents with the best evidence-based information on labour, birth, and breastfeeding, in addition to empowering parents to make their own decisions about all things concerning the birth of their baby, is my passion and I believe it’s the strongest foundation for achieving an amazing natural birth experience. You will always remember the birth of your baby...I’m committed to preparing you and your partner for a birth you will never want to forget! I teach birth classes in San Diego, California.
Birth Classes in San Francisco and Silicon Valley, CaliforniaName: LaQuitha Glass Email: firstname.lastname@example.org Website: www.letsgetphysiological.com Greetings! I teach Birth Boot Camp classes in the San Francisco Bay and Silicon Valley area of Northern California, with my home base being Mountain View, CA. As a mother of three, I have had a variety of birth experiences, which ultimately inspired me to become a birth advocate and childbirth educator. For my first birth, I did not have any particular desire to attempt a natural birth, however, after a scheduled cesarean due to breech positioning of my baby, I began to research the role that physiological birth could play in helping me to increase my chances of a normal vaginal birth when I became pregnant the second time around. During that time of recovery, I had a complete paradigm shift and was able to go on to have two unmedicated vaginal births after cesarean. As a birth advocate and childbirth educator, I truly believe that knowledge is empowerment, and it is a privilege to have the opportunity to assist women in discovering and embracing their bodies so that they can feel confident and prepared regardless of how they birth. I look forward to walking this leg of your birth journey with you.
